"Twerk It Like Miley" is probably the song stuck in your head right now.
Here's what you don't know about it: The song was released over a year ago by American singer Brandon Beal, featuring Danish singer Christopher (dude has no last name). "TILM" was obviously referring to Miley Cyrus and her twerking stint during the 2013 MTV Video Music Awards. The single never became a hit anywhere—except Denmark. For, like, a week.
So why is this song suddenly so relevant in the Philippines? My guess is that Pinoys LOVE dance music and actively search for the newest dance craze. We had the “Macarena” in the '90s and “The Ketchup Song” in the 2000s, and it won’t be long before “TILM" becomes the defining dance craze of 2015.
