Kim Chiu turned 29 yesterday, and her boyfriend Xian Lim wrote the sweetest IG post for her.
“Happy birthday to this beautiful person @chinitaprincess,” he starts. “We first met about 10 years ago and I remember seeing one of your billboards while driving and I remember saying to myself… ‘Siguro ang sarap mahalin ang isang katulad mo.’ True enough, we started working together and I fell in love with you right away. I think it’s safe to say we fell in love with each other right away.”
He continues, “I don’t want to keep this too cheesy so I’ll end the message by saying ‘Stay the way you are.’ Keep being you because we see an awesome person that is brought [to] this world for a great reason. Keep inspiring the people around you and stay beautiful inside out. Those three words are not enough but I’ll say it anyway: I love you. And happy birthday, Petunia.”
Kim and Xian met in 2011, on the set of their TV drama My Binondo Girl. The actress only confirmed their relationship last year, in November. According to Xian, they decided to not talk about their relationship publicly all these years because they were working together. “I don’t want people thinking, e kasi gusto lang nilang i-promote ang team-up nila e. Years later, we’re still together and we’re not promoting anything.”
The two are headlining an upcoming teleserye called Love Thy Woman with Erich Gonzales. While the release date has yet to be announced, we do know that Kim and Erich play half-sisters, and Xian plays Erich’s fiancé.
Sunshine Cruz, Ruffa Gutierrez, Zsa Zsa Padilla, Eula Valdez, and Christopher De Leon are also part of the project.
