Anna Cathcart And Sang Heon Lee Spill On Their First (!) 'XO, Kitty' Kiss—Plus, The Most Kilig Scenes In Season 3

Kitty (Anna Cathcart) and Min Ho (Sang Heon Lee) have long been the "endgame" we've been rooting for—and thankfully, XO, Kitty Season 3 delivered.

Back with more kilig than ever, Season 3 is giving us everything. But first, let's do a quick recap.

XO, Kitty is the spinoff series of the hit film franchise, To All The Boys I've Loved Before, which is based on Jenny Han's book series of the same name. XO, Kitty focuses on the story of Lara Jean Covey's sister, Kitty Covey.

The twist is that she heads to South Korea to learn more about their late Korean mom—and, in Season 1, to get closer to her long-distance boyfriend, Dae (Choi Min Yeong).

By Season 2, Kitty is out there exploring all kinds of love—and comes out as bisexual, falling in love with Yuri (Gia Kim). But let's not forget the slow-burn romance that's been simmering since Season 1 with Min Ho, Dae's best friend... and her frenemy, to be exact.

As the second season ended, we were left with yet another cliffhanger: whether Kitty and Min Ho end up together. Now, did Season 3 give justice to that year-long cliffhanger?

And without further ado, yes. It did. And below, we're breaking down all the Kitty-Min Ho moments that gave us an excessive amount of kilig!

Season 3 picks up where the cliffhanger left us: Kitty and Min Ho talking about spending the summer together. Except… it's just a day trip to Busan. Our girl Kitty panicked instead of admitting she actually wants to go on Min Ho’s world tour. (Quick refresher: Min Ho's dad hired him as a talent manager for their classmate, K-pop artist Eunice.)

Just when they thought they'd be alone in Busan, the whole gang showed up. But Q (Anthony Keyvan), being the ultimate wingman, managed to get Kitty and Min Ho alone in a cable car. Like all our favorite cable car scenes, there's proximity, tension, and the buildup to Kitty confessing her feelings—but, of course, it didn't happen. Still, the scene had us all worked up!

Okay, we won't keep you waiting (just promise you'll stick around—there's more!). Before Episode 1 of Season 3 ends, XO, Kitty finally gives us the long-awaited, cinematic kiss between Kitty and Min Ho!!!

It was worth the wait. Honestly, watching Kitty and Min Ho go from frenemies to buddies, and now lovers, is just the best feeling. Of course, we had to ask about their first onscreen kiss.

In a one-on-one chat with the stars who play Kitty and Min Ho, Anna and Sang Heon explained that their first kiss was more about (good) pressure than the moment itself. Instead of getting swept up in the long-overdue kiss, they said it felt like they were on a mission.

"Honestly, shooting that first kiss of them on the beach was one of the craziest shoot days we had the entire season. We were shooting in the middle of a public beach in Busan, in the middle of the night, and it was freezing cold," Anna recalled. "It was an open beach, and people were wandering around, trying to find out what we were filming. That was really hard for us to lock in and just see each other," Anna told Cosmopolitan Philippines.

Anna also shared that there was a lot happening around them—the 360-degree camera, the director watching from afar—which made it tough. But of course, they stayed focused on one goal: creating an unforgettable scene for the show.

She added, "It was just a lot of big moments, happening all around to get ready for this, that it added to the anticipation of how important this kiss was, and how important this scene was; Because even shooting it felt so different than a regular day."

Sang Heon chimed in, saying, "People might think, 'Oh it's your first kiss onscreen together? How was it—was it all butterflies and magical?' Yeah, sure, it was, but then at the same time, the environment where we're filming, as Anna explained, is all so overwhelming. It was more like, 'Okay, did we get that [shot]? Was that good?'"

Needless to say, their efforts paid off—and it did not go unnoticed! Fans are absolutely going crazy too after seeing that scene! It's just what everyone hoped for. 💗

I know you've read everything leading up to the kiss, but I'm not going to spoil it all—where's the fun in that? What I will say is to watch for the giddy, heart-fluttery moment when Sang Heon shows up for Kitty's 18th birthday.

If you know Kitty like we do, she's a girl who loves surprises (or, well… she's one meddlesome girlie). Either way, she was definitely thrilled to step into adulthood. And if you know Min Ho, he shows up for Kitty no matter what—in the best way he can. ;)

Did we just say airport chase? Yes! XO, Kitty delivers that classic scene: one chasing the other through the airport, trying to be together before a flight. It's a cliché, we know—but it was done in the most heart-fluttery way!
