Stalking people’s Facebook profiles on your phone is about to get a whole lot more fun with the introduction of profile videos. And although we’re a bit iffy about social media change in general, we’ve got a feeling this one will be good.
With everybody Snapchatting, Periscoping and uploading videos on Instagram, it’s really no wonder Facebook is introducing the option to have video profiles instead of profile photos to its mobile layout.
You can check out Facebook’s video explaining the updated features, but the gist is, the video can be anywhere up to seven seconds long.
This will “give your friends a taste of your creativity,” according to Facebook.
You’ll also be able to temporarily change your profile picture which can be scheduled to be taken down at any time!
And that’s not all they’ve got in store for us.
So you can make the best first impression, they’re also updating the profile layout to feature your best photographs at the top.
Because, at the end of the day, “your Facebook profile should be the best way to express yourself, so we’re making it easier to showcase the you that matters most to you.”
