Your Fave Stars, Style Icons Help Promote HIV Awareness

Heart Evangelista, Arci Munoz, and other local celebs gather at a fashion event for a cause you should care about, too.

It's heartwarming and inspiring to see famous personalities use their star power to bring attention to social issues in need of our support. Take celeb photographer Niccolo Cosme, for example: He has been using his photo project, Project Headshot Clinic, to promote HIV/AIDS awareness since 2008, and recently launched another awareness movement called The Red Whistle. Backed by celebrities like Heart Evangelista, Arci Munoz, Rovilson Fernandez, and more, both projects aim to enlighten the public about the disease and help stop new HIV transmissions by 2015.

Project Headshot Clinic and The Red Whistle recently partnered with Levi's, which has been active in halting the spread of HIV/AIDS since the early '80s, for a fashion event called Project Commit at The Gallery in Greenbelt 5. Together with UNAIDS and De La Salle University, they brought fashion, art, and education together for this cause.

Photos of some of the campaign's most influential supporters were put on display at the Project Headshot Clinic: Commit gallery. Levi's also had a fashion show, in which all models wore red outfits and a symbolic red whistle. Among the familiar faces at the event were host Sanya Smith, Daiana Menezes, Boy Abunda, and more.

Launch the gallery to see some celeb portraits from Project Headshot Clinic: Commit and event photos.
