ENGENEs, brace your hearts—some big news just dropped: Heeseung will officially be leaving ENHYPEN.

The announcement came from the group's agency, BELIFT LAB, which released a statement on the afternoon of March 10. According to the label, the decision followed extensive conversations among the members about the group's future direction and their individual goals.

"Through in-depth discussions with each of the members about the future they envision and the direction of the team, it became clear that HEESEUNG has his own distinct musical vision and we have decided to respect it," the agency said. After what was described as a long period of deliberation, Heeseung will be parting ways with the group while the remaining members continue activities as six.

The update understandably sent waves through the fandom. Since debuting in 2020, ENHYPEN has built a massive international following, with Heeseung often praised for his strong vocals, stage presence, and songwriting instincts. His performances helped shape many of the group's defining moments onstage and off.

While Heeseung's departure marks the end of one era, it's not exactly a goodbye to the industry—or even to his label. BELIFT confirmed that the singer will remain under the company and is already preparing a solo album.

Heeseung also addressed fans directly via Weverse, sharing a heartfelt message reflecting on his time with the group.

"Because of the members who shared countless emotions with me, and because of ENGENEs who always filled every empty space, I was able to take step by step toward a dream that once felt impossible to reach," he said. He added that he's working hard on new music and hopes to meet fans again soon through his upcoming solo work.

Meanwhile, ENHYPEN will continue promotions and activities with Jungwon, Jay, Jake, Sunghoon, Sunoo, and Ni-ki. The agency also reassured fans that the group remains committed to delivering the performances and music that helped them rise to global fame in the first place.
