Everything We Know About Ji Chang Wook's Appearance In New Philippine Variety Show

We love Ji Chang Wook, and we believe that he loves the Philippines as much as we love him. He's been coming back to the Philippines whenever he can to meet fan meetings—and this time around, he's joining a Philippine reality show!

Yup, you read that right! Ji Chang Wook is joining Filipina celebrities Jodi Sta. Maria, Janella Salvador, Arci Muñoz, and Francine Diaz for a cooking-related show that has been filmed in South Korea!

Award-winning chef Chef JP Anglo delighted fans with behind-the-scenes clips of the reality show they were filming. There, we could see how Ji Chang Wook assisted him in cooking one of the dishes Filipinos are known for: litson or roasted pig.

In the comments section, the South Korean actor even commented, "Hello, I'm Mr. Litson," bringing out the funny and lighthearted vibes he experienced during their shoot.

The Korea Times reported that the variety show is titled "Kumusta," and has been produced by a Korean creative team and directed by Park Nae Ryong. In one of Chef JP's Instagram posts, he describes the show through his caption, which reads, "Two cultures. One Kitchen. Korean & Philippine Exchange."

Aside from cooking, they sure knew how to liven up the mood during filming with Janella singing the OPM song, "With A Smile." Through the other photos posted by the chef and the celebrities, it's obvious that they all enjoyed their time together. Ji Chang Wook is also now following Jodi, Janella, Arci, and Francine on Instagram!

We've also spotted another indication of a friendship that began through the show. In case you missed it, Jodi also shared that the South Korean actor gifted her Gentle Monster sunglasses.

She revealed it through an IG story saying, "My first GM gamsaeyo @jichangwook" (Gamsaeyo meaning thank you!) So sweet, right?

We also have to note that the Filipino crew was also able to cook food that the famous South Korean chef, Choi Hyunseok, himself, tasted! The chef is known for participating in the critically acclaimed Netflix variety show, Culinary Wars (which, by the way, will have a second season soon!).

There's no confirmed release date yet for the said variety show. But we're surely keeping this on our radar!

We just know that Ji Chang Wook loves the Philippines because, in case you missed it, the South Korean star recently visited the Philippines! Just earlier this October 2025, the actor met fans through IAM Worldwide's "DOMIN8" event.

And aside from that, he also had a 2024 fan meeting in Manila as an ambassador to the local clothing brand, BENCH.

Ji Chang Wook is set to star in the upcoming K-drama, The Manipulated, together with Doh Kyungsoo. It's poised to be one of the most anticipated dramas of the year by Disney+.

During his DOMIN8 event, Ji Chang Wook briefly talked about his new show. "My upcoming series called 'The Manipulated' is a Disney+ original series. It’s a story about a man who actually gets accused falsely and is actually imprisoned. It's actually an action drama in which he actually gets revenge after getting imprisoned," he said, as reported by ABS-CBN News.
