BlackJacks, it's definitely your time to shine. 2NE1 has confirmed their comeback Asia tour—and the first stop is Manila!
On September 6, 2024, YG Entertainment announced the happy news on their social media platforms. 2NE1's Welcome Back Asia Tour will have six stops around Asia, and will start in Q4 of this year and continue through 2025.
Luckily, the first leg announced for their Asia Tour is in Manila. It will take place on Saturday, November 16, 2024. Live Nation PH will be presenting 2NE1's much-awaited comeback concert in Manila.
Along with the Manila stop, YG Entertainment also confirmed the Jakarta leg of the Welcome Back Asia Tour, which will be held the following Saturday, November 23.
As of the moment, all four members—CL, Dara, Bom, and Minzy—are expected to participate in their comeback Asia tour. Before embarking on their Asia tour, the group is also set to have a three-day concert in Seoul, South Korea from October 4 to 6, 2024.
The iconic K-pop girl group's return after they pursued their respective solo careers in 2016 was first revealed in a video announcement by YG Entertainment founder, Yang Hyun Suk, back in July 2024.
The video confirmed which YG artists were going to make their grand comebacks under the company; one of which is 2NE1. Producer Yang mentioned that 2NE1 is their "first-ever successful girl group" and that's why they have lots in store for the group and their fans.
"I'd like to share in this interview that the first successful YG female group was 2NE1. The members of 2NE1 told me that they’d like to hold a concert commemorating their 15th anniversary. So we caught up and happily discussed making it all happen within this year," Yang said in the video uploaded to YG's YouTube channel.

2NE1's 2024 comeback concert in Manila
With the YG founder's video announcement, BlackJacks were brimming with joy, and so were 2NE1 members, especially Dara. Dara (full name Sandara Park) has always been well-connected with their Filipino fans. ICYDK, the K-pop idol started her showbiz journey here in the Philippines!
Since the announcement, she has been actively responding to Blackjacks, sharing her giddiness about the comeback. One of the fans tagged her and asked if they could include the Philippines as part of the group's upcoming global tour.
The fan wrote, "Ati sana included Philippines sa concert niyo sa 2025." Dara seemed a bit hesitant but still hopeful, and responded with, "Marami pa bang PH Blackjacks? That is my wish siyempre [praying emoji]." Well, the fan's request for a 2NE1 concert in the Philippines has been granted—except that it's a bit earlier than 2025.
2NE1 last visited the country as an active K-pop group in 2011. Remember "The Party: 2NE1 Live In Manila"? It's been over a decade!
ICYMI, 2NE1 members also commemorated their 15th-year debut anniversary last May 16, 2024, with matching group photos uploaded on their respective IG accounts. Leader CL posted a message in both Korean and English. "2NE1 has always been my house that made me feel the freedom to love, to play, to express , to create , to shine , to mix, to connect and share with people. Hope today 2NE1 reminds you to feel your light ::) Thank you alwayz [cherry emoji NOLZA."
