Even in the military, trust SEVENTEEN's Hoshi to be the king of spoilers (as fans call him: Kwonspo). Why, you ask? It's because he actually hinted about SEVENTEEN members' military enlistment—while he, himself is actively serving in the military.

Fans are following Hoshi in every exhibition or public schedule where his military unit will be serving or performing. Currently, he is active in the Army Band Honor Guard's Taekwondo Demonstration Unit.

In a video that circulated on X (formerly Twitter) on the evening of May 7, 2026, Hoshi was seen giving his words of encouragement for the remaining SEVENTEEN members who have not started their military service yet.

In a vetted translation, Hoshi said, "Probably (the members) who haven't enlisted will enlist at the second half of this year. If I have to say something, well... The time spent on the army shall pass by."

Hoshi wanted to reassure the members that military service would pass by before they even realized how much time had gone by. But instead of focusing on his motivating words, fans (Carats) were zeroed in on the fact that he mentioned a timeline for when the other members are going to enlist.

Internet Reacts To SEVENTEEN Hoshi's Military Spoiler

It's just the fifth month of the year, so although it's only a hint and not fully confirmed, fans were definitely crashing out thinking there would be no SEVENTEEN member active outside the military for the rest of 2026.

Others were thankful for the hint—thinking SEVENTEEN will fully come back as OT13 by 2028, which is way earlier than expected. So, that's where the shock comes from. At least, fans aren't going to wait for too long.

And well, for some, it's also a wake-up call to save up (!) because when the whole group comes back—and if it's SEVENTEEN—then you're in for a whole ride you should NOT miss at all.

In case you needed a reminder, Jeonghan, the first member to enlist, is reported to be discharged on June 25, 2026! Woozi and Wonwoo will follow in 2027—and of course, Hoshi as well.

If the members all enlist this year, the remaining members to be an active K-pop idol, given Jeonghan's comeback, would be S.Coups, THE8, Jun, and Joshua. ICYDK, S.Coups was exempted from the military due to his knee injury. Meanwhile, THE8, Jun, and Joshua are not required to enlist as they are Chinese and American citizens, respectively.

That said, the next ones expected to enter the military are DK, Mingyu, Seungkwan, Vernon, and Dino.

At present, these remaining members are completing official activities accordingly. DK and Seungkwan are having their sub-unit's DxS Serenade shows in South Korea. Mingyu is also participating in his sub-unit with S.Coups, CxM Double Up concert tour. Vernon is set to release an album together with his new sub-unit with THE8 called V8. Meanwhile, Dino is starring in a variety show called Bonjour Bakery, set to premiere this month!

Ahead of their 11th debut anniversary on May 25, 2026, all 13 members of the K-pop group renewed their contracts with longtime agency PLEDIS Entertainment, where they’ve been signed since their rookie days.

While the exact length of the renewal hasn't been disclosed, one thing is clear: with the strong bond and unwavering teamwork among the members of SEVENTEEN, they're bound to stay booked and busy—together. :)
