Song Joong Ki definitely enjoys fatherhood. Today, the South Korean actor announced the second pregnancy of his wife Katy Louise Saunders.
On July 8, Joong Ki's agency, HighZium Studio told Star News and other South Korean news outlets, "Song Joong Ki and his wife are pregnant with their second child." The news comes after the couple welcomed their son in June 2023.
The statement to the media also included that the baby's gender is a private matter, and thus will not be discussed by the agency. "It is difficult to confirm the timing of birth or the gender of the child as these are private matters," HighZium expressed.

Joong Ki and Katy's romance began after they met through an acquaintance in 2021. It was around the time that the South Korean actor finished filming for his hit K-drama Vincenzo.
Then in December 2022, they confirmed their relationship. A month later, Joong Ki posted a heartfelt letter to his fans in his official fan cafe. The letter indicated their plans for marriage and the happy news that they were expecting their first baby together.
As per Soompi, Joong Ki called Katy the person "who has been by my side supporting me and who I have spent valuable time with while cherishing each other."
And along with that was the hopeful message that fans will support their family moving forward. "We naturally dreamed of creating a happy family together. We have put in much effort to keep each other's promises, and we are sincerely thankful as a new life has come to us."
Just as he excitedly shared his plans and dreams of being a loving husband and father, he also willingly posted about his son's birth on his fan cafe. Katy gave birth to their eldest in her hometown of Rome, Italy.
Song Joong Ki has been actively working in several films this 2024, including the Netflix film, My Name Is Loh Ki Wan. He has also been in talks for his K-drama comeback, together with actress Chun Woo Hee.
