Yes, we know Mondays are everyone’s least favorite day of the week, but don’t let that ruin what could be an awesome day. Fight the Monday blues by deliberately doing things that will make you happy.
Here are five ways to own today:
1. Call up someone you love just to say hi.
It can be your boyfriend, mom, best friend, lola, or sibling. Not only will it turn your day around, but it will brighten up theirs, too!
2. Smile at everyone you pass by.
A smile can go a long way. Also, research shows that smiling instantly elevates your mood and decreases stress.
3. Treat yourself to your ultimate favorite food.
Your diet does not exist today. Craving for sushi? Go for it! Wanna cool down with a pint of ice cream? Don’t think twice. You deserve it!
4. Hug someone.
Is your friend or officemate having a bad day? Give him or her a hug.
5. Be thankful.
You're alive and well. The fact that you even woke up today is a blessing in itself, so be happy, be thankful, and enjoy the rest of your day.
