Residents of Johor, Malaysia felt the love from their crown prince, Tunku Mahkota Johor Tunku Ismail Sultan Ibrahim, when he surprised them with a shopping spree!

The heir to the throne of Johor showed up to Aeon Mall and paid for its shoppers' grocery bills. Exactly how much did he cover, though? Around RM3,000 or P40,000 per shopping cart. He was accompanied by his wife Che' Khaleeda Bustamam

The two were only there for less than five minutes, but the whole thing lasted for an hour, with hundreds of people lined up. On average, the shoppers were seen with at least three carts full of groceries.

Tunku Ismail took to Facebook to explain that he just wanted to show his people some love: "I'm no politician, I do not need votes. But I genuinely love my people. Always with you Bangsa Johor."
