What Went Down At The Cosmo Summer Party 2025,—From An Editor's (And First-Timer's!) POV

Whenever I think about what it means to be a Cosmo Girl, it can always be summarized in three words: fun, fearless, forward. We have a lot of events that celebrate these Cosmo Girl traits, one of which was our month-long celebration of girlhood with our Women of Influence campaign in March. But there's only one quintessential event that truly highlights the meaning of Cosmo Girls having fun—and that's the annual Cosmo Summer Party.
We've been holding this yearly celebration since 2018, but as a newbie to the Cosmo team, it was my first time attending this year. I've been hearing about it from multiple sources (and not just from my coworkers!), so the hype is real.
This year, we chose the theme of a Luau Getaway—a one-of-a-kind fusion of relaxation, self-care, and tropical festivity. Basically, we wanted to treat our Cosmo Girls to a fun and relaxing weekend in La Union. Every activity was designed to help you escape from the daily grind and find a haven dedicated to your health.
TL;DR: It's our chance to disconnect from the hustle of life and embrace living our best life NOW. The girls' trip that made it out of the group chat, if you will.

Cosmo Summer Party 2025, Day 1:
OTW To La Union
Day 1
Friday
7:00 AM
Assembling at the Cosmo HQ
The Cosmo team meets up at the Cosmo HQ before we head out for La Union. The day was young, but our energies were already high. Ofc, there was a quick run around the office to gather some last-minute essentials (our Cosmo mic covers, to be exact!) before we loaded up the vans and headed out the door.
12:30 PM

After a smooth and safe ride up the expressway, we finally landed at our home for the next two days. Patio By Balai Norte served as our temporary HQ for our Cosmo Summer Party weekend, which was only five minutes away (via car) from the event venue.
The team separated—some to eat at the in-property restaurant for lunch, while others chose to explore some new and old haunts for a quick bite and coffee run—before settling in our hotel rooms. We also squeezed in a visit to our partner restaurants who gave discounts to our attendees.
After a quick cramming session (hey, we keep it real here!) for our articles and posts for the weekend, we began preparing for the next step on our agenda: checking out the venue and having a special pre-event celebration with the team.

5:30 PM
Checking out the party venue
As the sun started to wane and the sand began to cool underneath our feet, we made our way to El Fuego a.k.a. the soon-to-be hotspot of the weekend. The crew was busy setting up the stage, tent, and other booths for the Cosmo Girls dropping by the next day. It was surreal to see the chaos before the beauty—everyone picking up a power tool every now and then or correcting the booth’s placement in the next moment.
In the background, we hear kids laugh as they splash in the cool waters of San Juan Beach. Couples stroll along the shore, stopping to take IG-worthy pictures together. We also took some photos for the 'gram, of course!

Powering up for the day ahead
Didn't I say it was going to be an early day? I, for one, am a breakfast person and simply cannot function without eating in the morning. Luckily, we had a complimentary breakfast in the hotel and had our pick from the buffet.
We also took the time to quickly go over our game plan and agenda for the day. We were going to be out and about from sunrise to sunset (and beyond) and we needed to be at the top of our game.
After our filling breakfast, we went back to our rooms to prepare for the very first activity of the day: a morning yoga session by the beach.
9:30 AM

Yoga = zen. Beach = calm. So the two seem like the perfect match, right? We took the chance to soak in the sun and breath in the fresh sea breeze with a morning yoga class with HUAWEI's new WATCH FIT 4.

Armed with their new fitness bestie, the Cosmo team and Cosmo Vibe Tribe members sweated it out on the mat. They were also one of the first people to put the new fitness watch to the test! With features like tracking our workouts and PRs to monitoring our mood, this stylish device kept up with our yogis through their 30-minute workout. P.S. We also kept it on throughout the day since we knew we would be on our feet the whole time.

Shooting some content and preparing for the afternoon's party
Before we headed back to the hotel to get ready for the afternoon festivities, we took the chance to shoot some content. It’s still a work weekend, after all. Stay tuned for our upcoming posts! *wink*
We headed back to the hotel to freshen up—and catch some Zzzzzs, tbh—after our sweaty morning. With temperatures hitting the high 30s, our hotel room aircon was a welcome respite!
Once we recovered some of our energy, we headed out for lunch.

Finally, the Cosmo Summer Party was officially open to the public!
Upon registration, our visitors received a goodie bag filled with giveaways from our sponsors and their event passport to complete by visiting the different booths. Then they had free rein to check out the various booths.

Over at the Sunsilk Hairkada Adventures booth, our Cosmo Girls were treated to a hairstyling session that gave them the most beach-ready braids. The first 100 registrants also received free cups of coffee to help them stay cool under the hot sun.
Our major sponsor Sunsilk made sure everyone's hair was perfectly done for the party!
The POND’s Summer Hotties were waiting right beside the Entrance Arch, ready to pose for a pic and give away samples of the new POND's UV Miracle Sunscreens with SPF50 so our participants can protect their skin from UV rays.

Ofc, we prepared a lot of photo-worthy spots where our Cosmo Girls can snap their OOTD pics and selfies. The Cosmopolitan mirror was the perf prop for everyone's 'fit checks, while the Cosmopolitan Photo Wall captured the Luau vibes to a T.
And we can't forget the popular Cosmopolitan logo letters!

As the sun began to set, the Cosmo Summer Party program began.
Cosmo's Executive Editor Ida Aldana welcomed the attendees with heartwarming speech.
"At Cosmo, we’re all about living your best life now. Not someday or later. Not when things finally slow down—we mean now," she opened. "And as we all know, Cosmo Girls are many things. She works hard and shows up for the grind. Buuuut, she also knows how to let loose, feel the beat, and live in the moment."
She continued, "Whether that means yoga in the morning, checking out the booths, looking for a summer fling, or just being with your girls—today's your space to treat yourself and enjoy yourself."
We took that as our hall pass to let loose—and boy, did we.

Remember the free hairbraiding service at the Sunsilk booth? We chose five fun, fearless, and lugay-ready ladies to go up on stage and show of their confident pasarela. After a fun Q&A portion, one lucky attendee was named the Sunsilk Hairkada Head-turner of the day and took home some swag from our major sponsor.

What's a Cosmo party without some kilig? For our Cosmo Summer Party Sunset Jams session, we invited none other than our Cosmo Crush of the month, Marlo Mortel, to serenade our audience.
Our May 2025 Cosmo Crush serenaded our audience as the sun began to set.
But the kilig doesn't stop there. Some lucky audience members and fans were chosen to go up on stage for some Cosmo Dares with Marlo! From recreating popular movie posters to nailing a couple selfie, our Cosmo Crush got up close and personal with our Cosmo Girls and showed off different sides of his personality.

As the sunset made way for the moonrise, we turned up the music and vibes for the Cosmo Summer After Party!
DJ Chrizza started the evening with some chill spins as our Cosmo girls started arriving in their party-ready beach 'fits.
DJ Ziggy kept the vibes high with his smooth transitions and remixes of trendy tunes.

Cosmo Girls truly know how to party and have fun. The afterparty went on until the early hours of May 25, but we left feeling exhilarated and tired—in a good way.
As a first-time attendee, it truly felt like the best party of the summer. The following Summer Parties have a tough act to follow, but I can't wait to see what we'll be able to do next year.
