WATCH: This Pinoy Couple Had The In-Flight Wedding Of Their Dreams And We’re Here For It
If you plan on getting married, here's a quick question for you: What's your dream wedding like? For me, I've always wanted an intimate ceremony either at a pretty garden or beach. Nothing fancy, just a simple celebration with my closest family and friends. For some couples, they plan to get married in a different country, while others choose to celebrate their big day in their own home. It's really different for everyone and I think that's what makes weddings ~extra special~.
For flight attendants Kristoffer Rustia and Micah Cura, they decided to get married in an aircraft. Yup, you read that right. Their wedding was done during a commercial flight from Manila to Boracay and it had over 130 passengers onboard, including 15 family and friends.
When they got engaged in December 2020, Kristoffer shared that they wanted their wedding to be a reflection of their profession. They asked help from their management if they could get married during a flight and inquired about safety protocols, too. "Talagang pinag-aralan nung management. Sila rin yung gumawa ng way to make it happen," he said. Micah added, "Nung nalaman namin na puwede naman talaga magpakasal onboard, [inisip namin] why wait [nang] mas matagal kung puwede naman gawin sooner?"
Unlike other weddings, the couple only had one month to prepare! Despite the stress, they got through everything with the support from their coordinators, suppliers, family, and friends.
"Very special for us 'to. It's a dream come true," Micah mentioned. "I hope we inspired other couples na as long as you have each other, extravagant man 'yan or simple, or intimate, basta yung kasal niyo yung importante. Love always wins."
