Our generation’s work from anywhere mindset has got all these cafés stepping up their game for your creative pursuit. Here are a few favorites from our latest coffee crawl:
United Coffee PH
Location: 16 United Street, Kapitolyo, Pasig City
It’s like the coffice gods heard us and granted our wishes: fast Wi-Fi, an ample amount of outlets, and great espresso. And who could resist those pretty subway tile walls?
Kopi-Kopi Café and Kitchen
Location: No.5 Village East Avenue, Executive Homes, Cainta, Rizal
We love a good bohemian feel with lively colors to keep the creativity flowing. Kopi-Kopi promises that and more—their signature coffee blends are the perfect companion while you type away at their picturesque al fresco area.
Location: G/F Wil Tower, Eugenio Lopez Drive, South Triangle, Tomas Morato Avenue, Quezon City
Inspiration is everywhere. Like, literally. All you need to do is look up, and those elaborate flower-filled ceilings will give you that “Eureka!” moment you’ve been looking for.
Agape Pastries and Tartines
Location: Chimes Square, Congressional Avenue Extension, Quezon City
Now we didn’t want to give this well-kept secret away, but Agape is the coziest coffee shop this side of the North. The rustic interiors give the place a warm, homey touch—almost like you never left the house. (Useful tip: They close at midnight to accommodate nocturnal munchies and those nasty last-minute revisions.)
Location: 36 Maginhawa Street, UP Village, Diliman, Quezon City
The interiors certainly live up to its name, and the food doesn’t disappoint either. If people-watching is your thing, then you’re in for a treat. Maginhawa is teeming with interesting characters from all walks of life—instant inspo!
Location: 94 10th Avenue, Cubao, Quezon City
This lush secret garden is tucked away in the heart of busy Cubao. Don’t forget to sample their cold brews for a much-needed kick.
High Grounds Café
Location: 67 Scout Rallos Street, Diliman, Quezon City
Now this place may be regarded as a gamers’ paradise because of the influx of DOTA players who frequent it, but High Grounds has bigger guns that just their fast Wi-Fi. The huge space means you’re guaranteed a seat anytime. The excellent food means you’ll be staying for seconds, thirds, and maybe even fourths!
Location: 2/F, Citywalk Building, Manuel L. Quezon Extension, San Roque, Upper Antipolo, Rizal
Isolating yourself until the next great idea comes along? A trip to the hills of Antipolo might help clear that head. It also helps that they’ve got excellent locally-sourced coffee, too.
Book and Borders Café
Locations: 281 Tomas Morato Avenue, Diliman, Quezon City; Tuscany McKinley Hill, Taguig City; Olympic Heights, Orchard Road, Eastwood City, Libis, Quezon City; Manhattan Park View Residences, Araneta Center, Cubao, Quezon City
Imagine you’re in a library, but way cooler. Book and Borders caters to the bibliophiles who enjoy tasty cake-and-coffee combos as much as a good read.
Location: 141 Katipunan Avenue, Quezon City
A creative space is what this coffee-shop-slash-library promises, and Cup Fiction doesn’t fall short of that word. Just look at those crazy interiors! We heard they make a mean cappuccino, too.
