Just 40 miles outside of Seoul stands a two-story Rolleiflex twin-lens camera café that will make your photography-obsessed heart scream with joy. Appropriately called Dreamy Camera Café, it was built by a South Korean couple who wanted people to have a safe space where they can discover and achieve their dreams.
Owner Park Sung-hwan, a former helicopter pilot, became interested in photography over a decade ago, and started collecting cameras soon after. He conceptualized the layout of the café in 2009 and construction started in 2012.
But it isn’t just an ordinary café. The owners are “committed to the dream visualization route,” and are all about motivating their visitors to follow their passion and join the movement: "Our success isn't defined by how much money we make. If someone walks through the door and talks about their dream, that would make our day. That's what the Dreamy Camera Cafe is for."
