If lining up for government documents still feels like a half-day commitment you'd rather avoid,

here's some very good news. The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) has officially launched its E-Certificate Service, making it possible to request, submit, and verify PSA civil registry documents completely online.

Birth certificates, marriage certificates, and even CENOMARs are now available in secure digital form—no paper trail required! Read on to know more about how the PSA E-Certificate works and how to request it:

What exactly is a PSA E-Certificate?

The PSA E-Certificate is a fully digital version of your official civil registry documents, available through PSAHelpline.ph, the PSA's authorized online channel. It carries the same legal weight as a physical PSA document, but is built for a 100% digital workflow.

That means schools, employers, banks, and insurance companies can now accept and verify your documents online—no photocopies, no envelopes, no follow-up emails asking you to resubmit. Hello, convenience!

What makes the PSA E-Certificate stand out is how verification works. Each file comes with a unique reference number and a QR code that links straight to the PSA's secure portal, so authenticity can be confirmed anytime. The PSA says the service is fully digital, tamper-proof, legally valid, and accessible 24/7.
