There's no denying that anik-aniks have seen a meteoric rise in popularity in recent months. Walk around and you'll hear—yes, hear—the girlies coming from a mile away with their bags jangling with charms, figurines, and chains hanging from every hook. Our phones, laptops, and other favorite items also aren't safe from the craze—you might know a few people who have decorated theirs with naked cherubic babies with cute headgear.

Sonny Angel is one of the most popular mini figurines in the market RN, whose catalog includes said figurines, hippers (they have adhesives on their belly so they can stick to just about anything), a tote bag that can safely carry up to eight bbs, and more. Buuut, if cherubic babies aren't your vibe, you might take a liking to Smiski more.

What is Smiski?

If you don't know what Smiskis are, they're manufactured by Dreams, the same company that makes Sonny Angels. They're described as "curious little creatures that love hiding in small spaces and corners of your room." Smaller and more low-key than Sonny Angels, Smiskis glow in the dark, giving you a fun surprise. They are also more dynamic than their more popular cherubic big brothers, as they come in various fun poses!

Smiski Announces Release Of Hippers

Recently, Dreams (again, the same company that makes Sonny Angels) announced that the tiny creatures will now come as hippers. ICYDK, hippers are small decorative accessories you can attach to your things. Similar to Sonny Angel hippers, Smiski will now have adhesives on their bellies, so they can cling to your everyday objects and watch over you wherever you go. Before this release, Smiskis have so far only been released as small (non-adhesive) figurines for desks, tabletops, and other flat surfaces.

Like the regular Smiski mini figurines, the hippers will also be made with phosphorescent material that allows them to absorb light and glow in the dark. So cute!

The Smiski hipper lineup will consist of six regular types and one secret. From the promotional photos, we can see one on his phone, one with just his underwear trying to climb up, a sleeping one, one hanging by his feet, one on all fours, and one that seems to be looking out. The secret Smiski, on the other hand, has headphones on.
