It's another win for the Philippines' LGBTQ community.

Airline company Cebu Pacific has hired its very first transwoman flight attendant (FA), Jess Labares. Jess is also a beauty queen in the Visayas region.

Jess took to her Facebook account to share just how overjoyed she is to fulfill her dream and to represent a milestone for trans women such as herself. She shared the hardships she went through to become an official FA, and the country's first trans woman FA, at that.

"57 days of hardship, tears, laughter, and sacrifice," she shared. "Becoming a cabin crew [member] was never a childhood dream. It was more like a challenge, a challenge to myself to know what I'm capable of."

"As a trans woman, the first post-op transgender woman flight attendant in the Philippines. History has been made. I will forever cherish this opportunity given by Cebu Pacific."

"I hope this will be an inspiration not just to the LGBTQ community but to everyone who dreams and has goals in life to never give up on something you really want. Perseverance, positivity, determination and loving what you are doing are some of the perfect formulae to achieve your goal and will definitely lead you the way to success and happiness. Now I can finally say, this is by far the greatest crown I have ever achieved."

Congrats, Jess!
