Cherry Pie Picache has finally spoken up about her past relationship with Edu Manzano.
ICYDK, Cherry Pie and Edu began dating sometime back in 2020. It was in late 2022 when breakup rumors swirled.
In a press con for her movie Firefly, Cherry Pie revealed that they have already broken up. "We are very good friends, he is a very good person. We are very good friends. We will always love each other... I think we are okay naman," Cherry Pie stated.
Despite experiencing another heartbreak, the 53-year-old actress is not closing her doors to love. She notes that she can now handle herself when it comes to navigating through relationships and will always be open to new learnings on romance.
"Hindi ba sa edad kong ito ngayon, I cannot depend my happiness anymore on somebody else, hindi ba? Besides, dapat din ay buo ako or whatever or kumpleto ako kung magmamahal ako ulit," she declared.
Being single is not a problem for Cherry Pie. She proclaimed that even though her lovelife may not be as perfect as others, she still feels blessed with her life at the moment.
"Pero habang wala, eh di masaya ka sa sa sarili mo. Lalo na after nung pandemic hindi ba 'yung self love, 'yung hindi mo na pwedeng iasa 'yung kaligayahan mo o kabuluhan mo sa ibang tao, nasa sa iyo. And ako personally I can't complain, God has been blessing me so much," Cherry Pie said.
"We've learned so much from the pandemic. So ngayon may partner o wala, ayan na, may partner o wala, okay lang, hindi ba? Let's be grateful for everyday," the actress added.
In 2020, Cherry Pie and Edu shared that it was actually their *second chance at love* since they dated almost 20 years ago. Their reunion was made possible when they starred in the teleserye Marry Me, Marry You together with Janine Gutierrez and Paulo Avelino.
