Emilienne Vigier Shares Why She's Keeping Her Relationship With Joshua Garcia Low-Key

Emilienne Vigier made it clear she isn't interested in presenting a curated version of love for public consumption. The French-Filipina content creator spoke candidly about her three-year relationship with Joshua Garcia, sharing why keeping it largely private has been a conscious and grounding decision.

Even as a public figure herself, Emilienne revealed that keeping their relationship away from the spotlight was something they were both clear about from the start. "We'd like to keep that private," she said in an interview with DJ Chacha on January 30. For her, not everything meaningful needs an audience.

Choosing not to overshare has helped their relationship stay "super peaceful." By limiting public access to their personal lives, they've managed to sidestep the pressure of online opinions and unsolicited commentary. "There are no eyes. They don't talk about your hurdles online," she explained, pointing out how public noise can easily complicate moments that are meant to be handled between two people.

Emilienne treats what she and Joshua have as something sacred between them: "Because the life that you have with your partner, or the foundation that you're building with your partner, is between you two only."

It's the same mindset she brings into being in a relationship with someone famous. Long hours and demanding schedules are part of the reality, something she completely acknowledges. She joked that she sometimes feels more tired for Joshua, "like damn, you work so much," but she was quick to add that respect always comes first. "Whoever your partner is, you have to honor and respect their job. Kasi bago pa naging kayo, iyon na trabaho nila," she shared.

Emilienne also emphasized the importance of boundaries, something she learned after a difficult past relationship. "That's like your non-negotiable," she added. For her, boundaries are not about creating distance, but about preserving individuality and self-respect within a partnership. A healthy relationship should allow both people to grow together without losing sight of who they are on their own.

Personality-wise, the two balance each other out. Emilienne describes herself as the extrovert, while Joshua leans more introverted, yet the dynamic feels steady and secure. What stands out most for her is the sense of emotional safety she feels in the relationship. "Super safe. Very mature. We support each other, respect each other. You found your best friend, too. And you can be vulnerable," she shared.

Talk about Emilienne and Joshua's relationship first surfaced in June 2023 after fans noticed similarities in their social media posts. Since then, the two have remained very low-key, occasionally sharing snippets of their time spent together.
