It's Confirmed! Jake Cuenca And Rabiya Mateo Are Exclusively Dating

Without hesitation, Jake Cuenca, 38, has confirmed he's "exclusively dating" former Miss Universe Philippines 2020 Rabiya Mateo, 29. The actor shared the update via text message to Loi Villarama in Ogie Diaz's latest vlog, even describing Rabiya as someone who makes him happy.

"Hi, Mama Loi, yes, it's true. It's safe to say that she makes me happy and we're exclusively dating at the moment," Loi read, quoting Jake's message in the vlog.

The actor has also been making waves on social media, frequently engaging with Rabiya's posts—a move eagle-eyed fans have definitely noticed. A few days ago, Jake left a comment on one of Rabiya's trips to Chiang Rai, Thailand, hinting that something might be going on between them.

"Breathtaking. Definitely not looking at the elephant. 😍," Jake wrote. Rabiya responded, "@juancarloscuenca Keep looking. 😊."

In another post, he left a heart emoji comment, prompting fans to draw assumptions about the real score between the two. 

Furthermore, the two were spotted dining together at a restaurant last month. They were also seen attending the birthday party of child actress Sienna Stevens.

While Rabiya has not yet commented on their relationship status, she previously confirmed in an interview that she is in a “happy place” and is getting to know "someone," whom she did not name.

"Nasa process pa lang na kailangan mo talagang kilalanin at kailangan mo tignan if compatible ba kayo or not. Yung compatibility, loyalty, even love, it is tested with time so I need to wait for it. Walang minamadali," Rabiya expressed. 

"Ine-enjoy ko lang yung process pero I think yung pag lagay ng label, I think nasa babae din yan...Hawak ko yung bola ngayon. I just want to take things slow. I think we have this common understanding na we want to know each other," she added. 

Before finding each other, both Jake and Rabiya had been in long-term relationships. Jake's most recent ex was Chie Filomeno, whom he dated from 2023 to 2025. Before that, he was in a serious three-year relationship with Miss International 2016 Kylie Verzosa, which ended in April 2022.

Rabiya previously dated nurse Neil Salvacion for seven years, from 2014 to 2021, but revealed they split because she wasn't ready to settle down. She also dated actor Jeric Gonzales from 2022 to 2026, parting ways for personal growth while maintaining an amicable friendship.

Fans are just happy for Jake and Rabiya—it's only the beginning, and they’re already making each other happy.
