Klea Pineda And Katrice Kierulf Call It Quits After Their Three-Year Relationship

Some good things come to an end, and while it may be painful, it could also be the beginning of growth, new opportunities, and self-discovery. That's one of the reasons why actress Klea Pineda (Lolong, Encantadia [2016], Ika-5 Na Utos) and her long-time girlfriend, content creator Katrice Kierulf, have decided to part ways after being together for three years.

In an Instagram post, Klea opened up to the public with a vulnerable and emotional message, confirming breakup with Katrice. "Maiksing panahon binigay sa atin pero masasabi ko na naging masaya ako sa tatlong taon ng buhay ko na yun kasama ka," Klea began.

"Kat and I decided to end our relationship. Masakit, mahirap. Masyadong maganda ang samahan namin. Pakiramdam ko parang hindi lang tatlong taon yung samahan namin sa dami ng nangyari," she continued.

Klea described Kat as her source of strength and inspiration over the years, and someone who stood by her through all the highs and lows. Their relationship, she said, was something the people around them deeply respected and admired.

"Sa pamilya ko na alam kong nasasaktan din sa nangyari, alam ko na tinuring niyo na din na parang anak si Kat sa loob ng tatlong taon na yun. At higit pa sa pasasalamat ang gusto kong sabihin sainyo sa pagtanggap sa kanya at sa aming dalawa [nang] buong buo," Klea shared.

Despite the love and memories, Klea revealed that they both came to a mutual decision to end the relationship—not out of resentment, but in recognition that it was time to move forward and prioritize personal growth.

"Nilaban naman namin hanggat sa makakaya namin, sinubukan naman namin ayusin. Tumatanda na tayo at may mga bagay na mas kailangan unahin o bigyan ng pansin," she admitted. "Kinailangan na lang talaga tanggapin na wala na kaming magagawa kundi tapusin na lang talaga ang relasyon namin," she added. 

Klea also expressed deep appreciation for Katrice and everything they had been through together. She made it clear that while their relationship had come to an end, she carries no regrets.

"Napakadami natin magagandang nagawa magkasama at pagsubok na nalagpasan na hindi ko gugustuhin kalimutan kahit kailan. Nakatatak lahat yun sa puso at isip ko. Napakarami kong dapat ipagpasalamat sa'yo Kat," she said.

"Salamat sa pagmamahal na binigay mo sa akin, Kat. Lagi mong tatandaan na kahit anong mangyari, hindi mawawala pagmamahal ko sayo," Klea ended.

ICYDK, Klea and Katrice's relationship played a pivotal role in Klea's coming out as part of the LGBTQIA+ community two years ago. 

In fact, it was also on Fast Talk with Boy Abunda where Klea first introduced Katrice as her girlfriend in 2023 that she recently confirmed their breakup.

“Na-excite si Katrice for me. Sobrang supportive niya sa akin and in-ask ko pa siya kung okay lang sa kanya kasi once na nag-out ako, mag-a-out na rin siya sa public. Ang sagot niya sa akin, ‘Hinihintay lang naman kita.’ She's very supportive talaga since Day 1," Klea previously shared.
