Sometimes, all it takes is one Instagram photo dump to get everyone talking about your love life. No lengthy captions, no official announcements, and definitely no relationship status updates required. Just ask Sarah Lahbati, whose recent birthday post has fans wondering if she's finally introduced someone new.
The actress turned 33 on October 9 and shared photos from her celebration with family, friends, her two sons, and a man identified in reports as Mikhail Schemm. While neither has officially confirmed their relationship, their recent posts have sparked plenty of speculation.
If this really was a hard launch, Sarah might have just shown us how to do it without making a big deal out of it.

Rule #1: Let the photos do the talking.
Sarah's birthday Instagram Stories featured a few moments that caught fans' attention, including a mirror selfie with Mikhail and a beach photo of the two looking particularly close.
In one photo, Sarah was seen wrapping her arms around him while he carried her in the water. Mikhail, who goes by @schmikmikmik on Instagram, also shared a birthday greeting for Sarah. "Happy birthday to this wonder woman," he wrote.
Sarah reposted his message, adding to the speculation that the two might be datingāno official couple announcement, but the photos were enough to get people curious.

Rule #2: Keep the caption casual.
When Sarah uploaded her birthday carousel, she didn't write a lengthy reflection about turning 33 or tease a new relationship. Her entire caption was simply: "happy š«¶š¼"
The photo dump featured different moments from her celebration, including time with her children, family, friends, and Mikhail. It's the kind of Instagram post that feels personal without explaining every detail. Whether the photos were intended as a relationship reveal is something only Sarah can confirm.
Still, there's something refreshing about sharing a happy moment without feeling the need to give everyone the full story.
Rule #3: Keep some things to yourself.
Of course, the Internet has questions about Mikhail. He's the founder and CEO of Third Culture Entertainment, a company involved in concerts, live events, and immersive entertainment experiences. His work includes Film Concerts PH, which stages orchestral performances alongside popular movies.

Sarah, meanwhile, has been navigating life in the public eye following her separation from Richard Gutierrez, with whom she shares two sons, Zion and Kai. Richard confirmed in January 2025 that they were undergoing an annulment process.
Her personal life has understandably attracted attention, but sharing a few photos doesn't mean she owes anyone a detailed explanation.
As Sarah previously shared in her January 2024 Cosmo cover story, "There's nothing like functioning at a calm level when things are being thrown at you, and you're being challenged and going through difficulties that you can't control."
Sarah and Mikhail might be dating, but she's choosing to share only the parts of her personal life she's comfortable making public. Either way, the takeaway is pretty simple: You can share the moment without sharing every detail. And if Sarah's one-word caption is anything to go by, she's happy leaving it at that.
