Recently, fans speculated about the state of Sofia's relationship with longtime partner Daniel Miranda, after noticing that the two no longer appeared to be following each other on Instagram. While it might sound like a stretch, in the age of social media, even the smallest changes can spark big assumptions.
But as it turns out, there was a perfectly relatable (and honestly kind of funny) explanation behind the buzz. In an episode of Kuan On One with Melai Cantiveros-Francisco, the couple opened up about how they handle conflict—and yes, Instagram sometimes gets involved.
"Parang hindi lang unfollow yun. Hindi ako nag-a-unfollow. Binlock niya ako! So, wala akong option. Wala talaga akong option!” Daniel said during the interview, explaining why followers might've noticed they weren't connected on the app.
Sofia, laughing, admitted: "Ako pa naman, kapag tumaas ang temper ko, I block him, unfollow." To which Daniel gently replied, "'Yan ang problema niya."
Sofia also reflected on how she's still learning to manage things better behind the scenes. "I think in that way, I have to mature enough. When it's our problem, it doesn't have to affect social media," she said.

Daniel furthered, "I mean, of course, merong misunderstandings talaga. Pero at the end of the day, sinabihan ko siya na, 'Wag mo nang i-post. Mas maayos kung silent lang. Wag nang magkwento, wag nang mag-cryptic posts, kasi it's nothing.' 'Di ba? Problema natin 'to. Kami lang makaka-solve nito."

In the interview, Sofia and Daniel also talked about the early days of their romance. When they met in 2016, according to the couple, Sofia was still in her party girl era, while Daniel was focused on his racing career.
Despite rarely going out, fate must've worked its way because Daniel immediately spotted Sofia a couple of times when he went to a club with his brother. At the time, Daniel didn't have any idea that Sofia was an actress.
"I kept seeing Sofia, sobrang ganda niya," he told Melai in the interview. Daniel's brother might be his best wingman that night because he was the one who first approached Sofia for Daniel, LOL.
Daniel narrated, "I told him not to go, but he still did. That's how we started talking. And Sofia was already a little intoxicated then. So, I decided to get her water. And the rest is history."
They've been dating since 2017, and in 2019, the two became parents to their beautiful daughter, Zoe. Now, they're going strong as a couple, supporting each other with their chosen careers.
Amid their steady relationship, the Internet has been buzzing over the fact that the two are not yet married. In a 2024 interview with Karen Davila, Sofia briefly talked about it, saying they're not rushing things—especially, when it comes to marriage.
"I was telling my partner nga, Daniel, na if we're not ready, kasi he has a broken, it's not complete also, their family. So, if we're not ready, we don't have to rush it eh. 'Yung foundation muna, respect importante Ms. Karen, di ba? Respect talaga. 'Yung love, andyan lang 'yan eh, 'yung respeto hindi naman 'yun agad nakukuha," she declared.
