Christian Louboutin Launches Ballet Flats For Every Skin Tone

Because what's nude for one woman isn't for another.

What girl doesn’t love a good pair of ballet flats? We know we do—there isn’t a day at the Cosmo HQ that one of the editors isn’t wearing everyone’s go-to comfy shoe (next to the sneaker, of course). And while we’re perfectly fine wearing out our department store-bought flats, we also wouldn’t say to this new style from luxury shoe designer Christian Louboutin.

Meet the Solasofia pointed-toe ballet flat, described by the label as a “classically Parisian silhouette.” It’s the latest addition to Louboutin’s Nude Collection, which features footwear in a range of nude hues to complement various skin tones, CNN reports.

The Solasofia comes in seven variations, including the rich caramel Maya shade that’s closest to many Pinays' tanned skin. According to Louboutin’s official Instagram account, the nappa leather flats “mimic the feeling of skin, allowing the shoe to nearly disappear on the leg.” Fancy!

A shoe this well-crafted obviously comes with a hefty price tag. The Solasofia retails at $595, making it an investment buy instead of a spontaneous sweldo purchase. If you’ve got the cash to burn, however, act fast! The flats are available for pre-order on the Christian Louboutin website, but as of press time, a lot of sizes are already sold out.

No girl can resist good ballet flats, it seems, especially when it features that distinct red sole.
