Hate heels, but can't live without them?
According to WhoWhatWear.com, there's a proper way of walking in stilettos, so your feet don't hurt as much. Aside from making sure your strides are smaller, you also have to make sure that your heels hit the ground first before your toes.
The logic? Your toes already take such a beating (even when you're standing up), because they carry most of your body weight when you're in heels. Hitting the ground first with your toes will only aggravate the pain.
If you're a newbie to sky-high stilettos, go for thick-heeled shoes first. Best if you can find a pair with ankle straps—that way, the shoes don't slip out. And you'll have zero problem walking.
