You may feel triumphant at finally being able to afford that designer handbag you’ve been eyeing for months, but have you actually considered the true price of your purchase? Nope, we don’t mean the amount you had to shell out in order to come home with that snakeskin bag—we’re talking about the animals who suffered so those accessories could be made.
A new campaign by PETA wants to shed light on this harsh truth. The organization set up an exotic leather goods boutique in a high-end mall in Bangkok, where shoppers could check out a variety of bags, shoes, and belts. What they saw upon closer inspection of the products was definitely not what they expected. Watch the video below:
