What is the Dyson Airstrait Hair Straightener?
The Dyson Airstrait is a hair styling tool that straightens and dries your hair in one go. ICYDK, wet hair is more prone to breakage so it's recommended that you dry your hair before using any styling tools. But this tool does both, so you can save time while getting ready.
The wet-to-dry straightener uses high-velocity air blades that direct airflow downward to tame your tresses quickly. Yup, it doesn't use the traditional hot plates so it decreases the heat damage your hair experiences in the process. While it was initially launched in March 2024, it now comes in a limited-edition Valentine's Day special Ceramic Pink and Rose Gold colorway that's a perf gift for Pink Pilates princesses!
Who is the Dyson Airstrait Hair Straightener made for?
The Dyson Airstrait is made for all hair types but it's particularly ideal for people with frizzy hair and who want to achieve smooth, shiny locks. Another plus? It does the job quickly so if you're pressed for time, you can just run this through your hair and have it date-ready in a pinch.
What technologies are unique to the Dyson Airstrait Hair Straightener?
Well aside from the lack of hot plates, there are two features that make the Airstrait unique.
Intelligent Heat Control keeps the air flowing through the Airstrait at your chosen temperature. The feature prevents the Airstrait from getting too hot (which is often the cause of heat-based damage) and protects your mane's natural shine.
The Airstrait also has two styling modes: Wet and Dry. Both come with pre-set heat and airflow speed combos. The Wet mode has heat settings for 80°C, 110°C, and 140°C. Meanwhile, the Dry mode has options for 120°C or 140°C. As for the speed setting, you can choose from low flow and high flow.
There are also settings called cold shot and root drying modes. The cold shot setting helps set your styled hair. Read: You can skip the hairspray! The root drying feature is for pre-drying and adding volume to your hair roots so your crowning glory looks voluminous and lively.
