We love applying glitter polish as much as you do. But when it’s time to remove the party nails, our adoration for these sparkly lacquers quickly turns to major inis because it’s such a hassle to do! Fortunately, there are two techniques you can use to speed up this process:
Grab a few cottonballs, soak ’em in nail polish remover, and place one over each nail. Once done, wrap the tip of each finger in foil to help the cotton stay in place and prevent the nail polish remover from evaporating. Wait five minutes, and once done, apply gentle pressure over each nail while twisting and pulling off the cotton and foil together. You may need to repeat the process once or twice, but you’ll have fewer scratches on the surface of your nails this way.
Glue On A Base Coat.
Grab a small bowl and mix a little craft glue (try a non-toxic one like Elmer’s Glue) with water until it’s similar to the texture of regular polish. Then, use an old nail polish brush to apply the DIY base coat over your nails. Once dry, just swipe on your glitter lacquer and top coat as usual. When it’s time to remove your polish, take an orange stick and push the edges to peel it off. Be warned though—your mani won’t really last more than a few days if you use this technique.
