Today in beauty news: Pinay TikTok stars Ayn Bernos, Rica Salomon, and Kai Javier—along with their IRL friends, content creator Landamme Vivas and entrepreneur JR Rodriguez—just launched their very own beauty brand called Kayu Beauty!
On February 19, they released Kayu Kiss, a velvety-matte bullet lipstick that comes in six different shades, which are designed to look flattering on Filipinos. The collection has MLBB (Send Nudes and Luv U A Latte) and peachy (Papa Don't Peach and Clay With Me) shades—including an "everyday red" (Left U On Red) and a "classic pink" (Watchapink.)

"Kayu Beauty’s goal is to create products inspired by you, the everyday Filipino—from our range of skin tones and our tropical climate, to our daily habits, goals, and aspirations," the owners shared in a press release. They also revealed the meaning behind their brand name: "Kayu is derived from the Filipino word 'Kayumanggi,' meaning brown skin, and is an allusion to 'kayo,' meaning the plural you."
"I never thought I could start a business with friends," Ayn wrote in an Instagram post. "...but this past year has been the biggest and most welcome surprise. Working with my partners @rica.salomon @_kaijavier @landammevivas @jrlrodriguezzz has been so inspiring and I’m so optimistic this is just the first of many launches."
The Kayu Kiss lipsticks by Kayu Beauty are now available on Shopee Mall and LazMall for P349 each.
