Most women have a dedicated section in their bedroom or bathroom for doing makeup—although if we’re being honest, any surface next to a mirror would do in a pinch. There’s probably some space to store products, too... if they’re not scattered all over the place, that is.
Of course, Kendall Jenner and her sisters aren’t exactly like the rest of us, which is why we’re not surprised that they each have special rooms at home solely for getting ready. The proper term is apparently “glam room,” and tbh, it seems to be where the magic actually happens.
Interior designer Martyn Lawrence Bullard, the man behind the Kardashian-Jenners’ glam rooms, recently spoke to Yahoo! Beauty about Kendall’s—and, as expected, it sounds downright amazing.
He reveals that the supermodel’s room “is a free-flow space. Kendall can have her stylist go in and she can try on clothes.” On-point lighting aside, Bullard shares that “there’s a beautiful counter that’s kind of high, about 42 inches. There’s a customized chair created for their height. You need a TV because sometimes glam can take two hours and it gets boring.”
Kendall’s glam room is entirely in black and white, and has her magazine covers lining the walls. There’s even a '70s-style crystal chandelier to set the mood. Plus, further proof that Kendall is a super chill, tamad girl like us: Bullard made sure that “every possible thing you can want is within arm’s reach. There’s a refrigerator filled with really chilled water, special makeup, special creams so they maintain their pH balance.”
Sounds like a dream, CGs. That fridge just about convinced us we need a glam room, too. ;)
