Blush is usually applied on the cheeks, but now, it's ~cool~ to sweep it on other areas of your face. For example, the drunk blush look, where you overdo it and dab some on your nose. Then there's the '80s blush trend, where one concentrates the product on the temples or eye area.
Makeup artist Mark Qua did a simplified version, which he called the "eye blush" look, on Kisses Delavin and girl, she looked so pretty!
Instead of connecting the blush to the apples of her cheeks, he chose to emphasize her temples instead, giving her face a playful + youthful appearance.
If you think the trend looks familiar, it might be because Rihanna famously sported an OTT version during the 2017 Met Gala! We've always known that Bad Gal Riri was ahead when it comes to beauty looks.
If you want to try it out for yourself, take note of these tips:
Use a light hand.
It's easier to add than remove. Trust us!
Work in layers.
This will ensure that your blush's placement will be on point.
Make sure you blend the product really well.
Nothing will destroy your motd like patchy blush.
Go for nude or rose-colored blushes if you want a natural look!
Softer hues are great for an everyday look. ;)
