The beauty industry has been expanding and growing quicker than ever, especially with the popularity of YouTube vloggers and bloggers. Brands now come out with multiple collections and collaborations every year, and the cosmetics and skincare landscape in the Philippines today looks very different from what it was 10 years ago.
10 years ago, there was no Benefit or NYX or Catrice Cosmetics in the country. But while more beauty brands are coming and opening shop in our country, there are still those that we wish would get here quicker.
Below are the eight brands we hope would already launch here—see if your fave made the cut!
1. BECCA Cosmetics
Our thirst for their highlighters is real. Yes, they are available at Sephora Philippines, but we want an actual store where we can touch and try out all their goodies with our own two hands.
2. Milani
From their famous Luminoso blush, to their Conceal + Perfect Foundation and their brand new Setting Spray, it's safe to say that we need more of this drugstore brand in our lives.
3. Tarte
Mainly because of their Shape Tape concealer and Amazonian Clay blushes, Tarte has always been a brand that we wanted to find in our nearest mall or department store.
4. Rimmel
We've heard nothing but raves about their lipsticks and eyeliners, which makes them a must-have in our beauty brand wish list.
5. It Cosmetics
Whenever we hear beauty gurus talk about their famous CC Cream and Bye Bye Pores Powder, we can't help but feel a little jealous. So here's to a new year and a renewed hope that this brand will make its way here.
6. Urban Decay
Can you believe we've never had legitimate access to Urban Decay's NAKED palettes, lipsticks, eyeliners, and concealers? Yes, many online shops stock them, but it's different when you're shopping at an actual store or booth.
7. Ardency Inn
This may be classified as more of an indie brand in the beauty world, but make no mistake—if Ardency Inn were here, you'd know everything about them. From their extra black eyeliners to their rad AF eye pigments, Ardency Inn's high-performance makeup will allow you to create the eye looks of your dreams.
8. Charlotte Tilbury
Of all the luxury makeup brands we wish would come to the Philippines, Charlotte Tilbury takes the cake. With her products' rose gold packaging and the rave reviews we've been hearing about them, our desire for this makeup brand just increases every year.
