One of the anticipated speakers of Day 1 was celebrity doctor and Medical Director of Belo Medical Group, Dr. Vicki BeloHer segment was titled Do I Really Need A Skincare Routine? 

She shared a story about how she was bullied when she was younger for having so many breakouts on her face. People would call her "pimples na tinubuan ng mukha." This nasty comment convinced her to try isotretinoin. It's a vitamin A derivative that ceases excess sebum production and treats blemishes. However, she warned everybody that it can be dangerous if not used properly. You have to consult a dermatologist if you want to give it a shot.

Dr. Vicki also shared her thoughts on chemical peels—she's not for it! According to her, it's a blind procedure because you're not sure how deep the active ingredients can penetrate the skin. This is why there are different results for everyone. 

Lastly, she opened up about the non-negotiable skincare product that you must use all the time: Sunscreen! Dr. Vicki said that the sun is the number one thing that will age you, along with smoking and pollution. She advised applying a generous amount of SPF-enriched products on the face, neck, shoulders, and decolletage before going out of the house.
