The Pinoy Big Brother (PBB) Celebrity Edition craze has reached us, and yes, we're actually deep into it. One of the many stories we followed was AC Bonifacio's tumultuous stint inside Big Brother's, a.k.a. Kuya's house.
In case you didn't know, AC caused quite an uproar on the Internet after her televised statements regarding fellow housemate Ashley Ortega. ICYDK, she initially expressed her uncertainties and first impressions about Ashley. Unfortunately, this didn't sit well with PBB viewers. Later on, the two actors were paired as a duo and eventually became the first evictees from the house.
Recently, a new rule introduced celebrity duos inside the house, where each pair is treated as a single entity. This means that if one member of the duo is nominated, the other will be nominated—and yes, even evicted—alongside them.
Now, AC's currently re-acclimating to the outside world after spending weeks inside Kuya's house—and she's respectfully facing the criticisms thrown at her because of her attitude inside the PBB house. In an interview with ABS-CBN's MJ Felipe, AC stated that she's well aware of the bashing and negative comments about her because of her actions during PBB. Some of them include being called a "backstabber."
AC noted that as soon as she was evicted, her team had mentioned how she became the "#1 Most Hated Housemate." But the 22-year-old celebrity didn't back down because of the comments. Instead, she's charging it all to experience and growth.
"'Yung mga sinasabi po sakin, I really try not to read. But at the end of the day, there were people giving me these constructive criticisms that could help me in my life because I'm growing. I'm 22 po, I'm not perfect," AC declared in the interview.
She continued, "So, 'pag sinasabi nilang 'backstabber, manipulative...' parang those were the main ones that they're trying to come at me. I understand where they're all coming from with the situation that was shown. And I could've been that for a moment for them."
Nonetheless, AC stands firm that she has been truthful as a housemate and that she sorted out everything before she left the house. "I know at the end of the day, na-resolve ko ang mga issues ko sa loob. I have no bad blood with anyone in that house. If in that moment I was, I will definitely grow and learn from that. I acknowledge my actions and be better," AC said.
During the first week after their eviction night, AC and Ashley have been guesting on various shows together. All seems to be well since the duo appears to have a much better relationship after their televised misunderstanding during PBB.

Ashley herself cleared the air regarding her current friendship with AC. For the record, AC indicated her first impression of Ashley being "fake," hence her uncomfortable relationship with her once-fellow housemate. After it was aired, the two were paired as a duo and they had to sort out their differences.
Following their eviction, many wonder if Ashley harbored any hard feelings toward AC. Some PBB viewers have even speculated that AC's off-putting attitude may have played a role in their exit. However, Ashley has debunked these speculations and shared that she's all about having positive connections with her former PBB duo.
"Honestly, it wasn't that deep for me. I didn't look at it like na parang it was a big deal. I look at AC as a little sister. She's young. We all make mistakes. And may mga nasasabi tayong bagay na hindi rin naman natin mini-mean," she said in an interview.
The Kapuso star further noted, "I appreciate it. She gave me a chance to get to know me more. I appreciate her opening up to me. Wala naman talaga akong issue."
