aespa's much-awaited comeback is here and we're crying!
On July 8, the K-pop girl group dropped their second mini album Girls along with the music video for its lead track of the same name.
In the music video, the girls and their ae (digital avatars) embark on an action-packed journey to defeat the antagonist Black Mamba. The song marks the end of the first season of the SM Culture Universe (SMCU).
As of the time of writing, the music video already has more than six million views.
aespa's latest album contains nine songs, including the two pre-released singles "Illusion" and their first English-language track "Life's Too Short."
The album also contains three previously released digital tracks "Black Mamba", "Forever", and the remake of S.E.S' 1998 song "Dreams Come True."
The four-member girl group debuted in 2020 and are best known for their hit songs "Black Mamba", "Next Level", and "Savage." In April 2022, aespa performed at the main stage of the music festival Coachella.
