Following the release of Maine Mendoza's viral open letter, AlDub fans flocked to the Eat Bulaga studio in Broadway Centrum, Quezon City to show their support for her.
The gathering (also dubbed the "white rally") was organized by Maine's fans from different regions and fan groups.

Fan videos caught AlDub fans cheering "AlDub pa rin" and "Walang iwanan." Some even showed clips of the attendees singing "God Gave Me You," a song made popular by Maine's love team partner Alden Richards during their "Kalyeserye" segment on Eat Bulaga.

While Maine's open letter drew mostly positive reactions from colleagues and fans, some, as she predicted, gave her flak for revealing that her relationship with Alden is nothing more than friendship.
Not long after she has posted her heartfelt letter, Maine posted a cryptic Twitter follow-up, saying, "You are all right. I deserve all the hate in the world because I am such a coward and a selfish little brat. I get it and I understand."
This drew many to speculate that Maine will be leaving showbiz. A fan video, however, reveals otherwise. The clip shows a fan supposedly talking to Maine's mother (more fondly known as Nanay Dub to her fans) over the phone, who then declared that "Maine will stay [in showbiz]."
A smiling Maine last tweeted a post about her during a tech event.
