Anne Curtis is officially a London Marathon finisher and for a good cause! Captured by her husband Erwan Heussaff, the 33-year-old superstar shared a video of her hurdling the 42-kilometer race. On Instagram, she wrote, "Five hours trimmed down to a minute. WARNING: EMOTION INTENSITY LEVELS AT AN EXTREME HIGH."
After months of preparation, the London Marathon serves as Anne's second major marathon which she participated in, carrying the name of UNICEF Philippines in support of the welfare of the Filipino youth.
In a heartfelt post, she shared sentiments after finishing the race. She wrote, "The smile you make when you get to the home stretch. All the pain, cramps, crazy thoughts, the shortness of breath disappear. You realize YOU'VE DONE IT. The feeling of euphoria rushes through your body and the smile cannot be erased off of your face.
"I let the @unicefphils flag fly high and proud knowing that all the pain, tears and each of the 42 kilometers were worth it. THE CHILDREN OF THE PHILIPPINES ARE WORTH IT. I will never tire of doing what I can—whether a big or small gesture—to help make this world a better place for children. Thank you to everyone that donated!"
Prior to her run, Anne shared her excitement joining the race. She wrote in a post, "All set! The day has come!! After months of training for the @londonmarathon, I'm so ready!!!! Got butterflies in my tummy! Super nervous but running for the Filipino Youth will keep me inspired each kilometer!"
