The ADMU Rantbox is a Facebook page that features anonymous rants from members of the Ateneo de Manila University (AdMU) community. As of 11 a.m. on Wednesday, August 30, the page has 1,663 likes and 1,707 followers.
It so happens that one of the posts on the page has gone viral. It's a rant from an Ateneo graduate who claims that he or she can't get hired. Part of his/her rant reads, "I just want a job at nice multinational or big company. I want health benefits for my parents. I want to make enough to put my siblings through school. I just want to sell my soul for my family's comfortable living." Another segment reads, "If anybody reading this has any ideas, any way to explain how to get a job in the fucking Philippines that doesn't fucking involve having an uncle somewhere, I'm open to suggestions."
Read the whole rant below.
The reactions to the post are mostly pleas for the frustrated Ateneo graduate to basically grow up. Many people also offered some harsh advice.
Then again, right now, there is no way of verifying if the person who wrote the rant is, indeed, an Ateneo graduate. As with anything that's spawned online, it's best to take this with a grain of salt until more proof is presented. After all, who's to say this isn't just someone who's conducting a social experiment or someone who just wants to stir things up for the heck of it?
