What we often forget is that when it comes to insecurities, no one is spared—not even men. Surpassed only by their fear of being "too short," men are anxious about hair loss. But according to a study from the University of Pennsylvania, they have nothing to worry about.
In 2012, scientist Albert Mannes conducted a study with 59 participants. Mannes wanted to figure out how people perceived bald men, so he showed the subjects photos of men with hair and then the same guys without hair. Apparently, the bald guys seemed "more dominant, bigger, stronger." They also looked taller.
Unfortunately, those traits only applied to men who were completely bald; bald patches or signs of male pattern baldness (like receding hairlines) were still considered unattractive. In a separate study that had 20,000 participants, bald guys also seemed older and, therefore, more intelligent.
Of course, we know, to each his own, but things are looking pretty great for Dwayne Johnson, Jason Statham, and Vin Diesel. ;)
