Barbie Forteza Is Keeping Her Past Relationship To Herself—And We're So Here For It

Actress Barbie Forteza has proven that not all breakups have to end in bitterness. And that sometimes, walking away can come with quiet strength, grace, and respect.

At the start of 2025, fans were taken aback when Barbie and her ex-boyfriend Jak Roberto confirmed the end of their seven-year relationship. Known for being one of the more low-key and grounded celebrity couples in the industry, the announcement was simple, sincere, and void of any public fallout. 

Barbie even posted on Instagram a heartfelt message that wished Jak well, signalling to fans that despite the end of a romantic chapter, mutual respect remains very much intact.

Months after the announcement, Barbie continues to uphold that same standard of respect. In a recent interview with PEP.ph, she gracefully dodged questions about Jak and their past relationship, despite persistent probing from the media.

When asked whether she and Jak have both moved on, Barbie responded with calm clarity: "Oh, I'm so sorry, but I prefer not to talk about it to respect the relationship. Pero I am very happy right now."

The actress made it clear that she's in a good place. She shared that there's so much to be grateful for, especially with the upcoming release of Beauty Empire, a series co-produced by GMA Network, Viu Philippines, and CreaZion Studios, where she stars alongside Kyline Alcantara and Ruffa Gutierrez.

As for her love life, Barbie said that while she's open to dating, she's currently focused on her projects and enjoying her newfound love for outdoor running.

"Honestly, wala po talaga. Walang nanliligaw... I am still enjoying my time, but I'm open to meeting people," she shared.

"Masaya pala maging outgoing, to be out there… Marami lang po talagang ginagawa ngayon. Siguro if I have more time to think about it," she added.

When asked if she's open to working on a project with Jak in the future, Barbie neither confirmed nor denied, opting instead for a witty and professional response: "I am always willing to accept work."
