Yes, Barbie Forteza Is Spending Valentine's Day Alone—And She's Totally Happy About It

Published on Feb 2, 2026
Who says Valentine's Day has to be about couples? Barbie Forteza is embracing a solo celebration this year and she's just as thrilled doing her own thing.
"I'll spend it alone, just like last year. And [I'm] super-super happy." Barbie shared with PEP.ph during the 81st birthday celebration of her Until She Remembers co-star Boots Anson Roa-Rodrigo in San Juan City on January 30.
"My heart is full, and my heart is very happy. I really make time for myself," she added. For Barbie, Valentine's Day is less about romantic love and more about enjoying time with friends, focusing on self-care, and celebrating personal growth. We get it, it's totally okay to put yourself first.
Surrounded by a supportive circle of friends, Barbie says she'll continue to enjoy her active lifestyle. "Kung nakikita nyo, ang sipag ko na uli tumakbo. Kasi, andami ko nang mga kaibigan na nagyayaya sa aking tumakbo. And that brings me so much joy na nakaka-inspire din kami ng iba to have a healthier lifestyle," she shared.
When asked if travel is in her plans for February, Barbie laughed, "Ahh yes pero for a bit. I'm gonna attend my friend's wedding lang pero I'm gonna come back. Kasi, may trabaho na!" If only we had more VLs. 😮💨
This marks the second Valentine's Day Barbie will be spending on her own following her breakup with Jak Roberto, which they announced shortly after the 2025 New Year, ending a seven-year romance that started in 2017.

Adding to her Love Month plans, Barbie is excited about her upcoming post-Valentine project, Until She Remembers, directed by Brillante Mendoza. She calls working alongside Boots and Charo Santos-Concio an incredible honor.
"Sila pong dalawa, full of grace. Very gracious, and also very respectful to everyone," Barbie gushed. "Sa kanila pa talaga nanggagaling yung respeto at yung courtesy to be kind to everyone."
Barbie also shared that being part of such a project now—without necessarily being tied to a love team—is a huge blessing. Projects like these, she says, let her grow as an actress while learning from veterans who truly embody professionalism and kindness on and off screen.
Until She Remembers is set to hit cinemas nationwide on February 25.
