Barbie Imperial Decided To Join A Business To Cope With Her Breakup

The girl sure knows how to move on.

Barbie Imperial shared that her last breakup was the inspiration behind her decision to sign up as a business partner for a local bar. In an interview with Magandang Buhay, the actress said that she was urged to get into it because she was looking for something to do with her time a week after her split.

She shared: "Noong time na ‘yon na kasama ko si Marco (Gumabao), parang first week 'yon na naging single ako so naghahanap talaga ako ng gagawin. Eh si Marco talagang to the rescue sakin—yung grupo namin noong night na 'yon."

Marco Gumabao, who also happens to be her distant cousin, is one of those who encouraged her to invest in the local gastropub Tipsy Pig. Marco is also a partner in the business together with fellow actor Pat Sugui.

Barbie went candid and said that she is now thankful for her past heartbreak. She said during her interview: "For me, blessing din na nangyari 'yon kasi parang mas open ako na mag-ano [start] ng business. Mas focused ako sa work ko."
