Miss Eco Teen Philippines 2019 Vanessa Mae Walters has been stripped of her title by Miss World Philippines as she has been accused of "misrepresentation of her credentials," "unprofessional behavior," and "indecency."
In a statement released by Miss World Philippines national director Arnold L. Vegafria on October 4, the organization said that winners "are expected to be paragons of righteousness, use their platform for good and use their office as an instrument to empower and make a difference in the world." The organization added that they wish to "maintain high ethical and moral standards and uphold the integrity of the titleholders."
The statement outlined three of the violations committed by Vanessa and the organization added that the titleholder "is expected to act as an ambassador of the Philippines in the Miss Eco Teen competition, represent the Organization in a professional manner, and serve as a role model for the youth."
Vanessa, who was crowned as Miss Eco Teen Philippines 2019 just last month, will be replaced by Mary Daena Zaide Resureccion. Daena will represent the country at the upcoming Miss Eco Teen competition to be held next month in Cairo, Egypt.
