Bianca Gonzalez And JC Intal Renew Their Vows After Five Years Of Marriage

The couple had an intimate ceremony at home with their daughters, Lucia and Carmen.

For their fifth wedding anniversary, Bianca Gonzalez and JC Intal renewed their vows in an intimate ceremony at home. The TV host and basketball player celebrated the milestone with their daughters, Lucia and Carmen.

For some, it may seem too early to renew vows after five years, but in a lengthy Instagram post, Bianca said, “We felt it was the perfect time to be reminded of what marriage is and how we can continue to nurture our relationship as husband and wife.” She added, “JC and I aren't really big on gift-giving, so we felt this was the best way for us to celebrate our fifth year.”

“Anyone who has been married for several years knows that married life is far from picture-perfect moments. And anyone who is married with kids knows that the blissful newlywed stage is faaar from the exhausted, sleepless, breastfeeding-and-chasing-after-kids stage.”

Bianca said their renewal vows were “more rooted and real” than their “idealistic” wedding vows. “I cried hearing my husband share what was in his heart, and I cried while reassuring him of my love and apologizing for my shortcomings in the midst of the daily grind of my being focused on our young kids' needs. We smiled at each other hearing each one's vows, because we wrote them separately, but apparently we ended our vows saying the exact same thing.”

Addressing her husband, Bianca said, “Mahal, like I said five years ago, may we both never forget the feeling of our wedding day, and may we both never forget the feeling of today.”

JC thanked Bianca for the “beautiful surprise.” The couple thanked Bro. Hans Pe, a family friend, for presiding over the ceremony and sharing words of wisdom that brought them to tears.

The couple’s love story started in 2010 at a UAAP basketball game, where they were cheering for their school, Ateneo de Manila University.
