The Binibining Pilipinas 2019 grand coronation night concluded yesterday, and fans of the pageant still can't help but talk about it.

One candidate, in particular, went viral. Maria Isabela Galeria, Sorsogon's representative, became the subject of a series of memes criticizing her for letting Binibining Pilipinas 2019 host Anne Curtis hold the microphone for her during the question and answer portion.

Vice Ganda even teased Anne about it on It's Showtime, saying, "Alam ko pagod ka kagabi, pinaghawak ka ng mikropono ni Miss Sorsogon, e."

Maria Isabela took to Instagram to react to the memes, sharing that it was really just the result of nerves, causing her to fail to notice that Anne was actually handing her the microphone at that time. She thanked Anne for the kind gesture.

"So today I woke up as a meme. I honestly had no bad intentions towards @annecurtissmith; I was just really nervous and was concentrating to answer the question being asked. Anne is a superstar and was very kind, polite, and gracious to all of us. It was a pleasure and inspiring to be in her presence."

Anne responded to Maria Isabela's post, reassuring her it was nothing, and to not let the memes get to her.

"Hey, gorgeous! Don't worry about it and don't mind the memes. All of you were nervous and had to concentrate on one of the most crucial parts of the pageant, [the] Q&A. It was an honor to be of service to you and all the beautiful candidates. Ganyan lang talaga minsan. May mga kulit moments na hindi palalampansin ng madlang people. Congratulations on your performance last night @mariaisabelagaleria."

Heart Evangelista, Maria Isabela's supporter, also thanked Anne for responding to Maria Isabela. "Sweetest Anne!" she said.
