As we all know, Captain Marvel is the first solo female superhero film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. It's also co-directed by an awesome female, Anna Boden, and stars Oscar-winning actress Brie Larson.
The film is an origin story of Carol Danvers, a human air force pilot who gets alien powers after a freak accident. It's set in the 1990s and is the first prequel in the MCU. Captain Marvel is set to be released in March next year, and we don't need to stress how long the wait is (just drop the trailer, please)!
On September 5, Brie tweeted:
And, yeah, they did. Entertainment Weekly released production stills from the movie and we finally got to see Brie in her Captain Marvel costume, Nick Fury and the Skrulls, Jude Law as the commander of Starforce, and Gemma Chan (who now looks NOTHING like her character Astrid in Crazy Rich Asians).
Brie posted some of the stills on her Instagram account:
Fans are seriously freaking out and they have opinions about Brie Larson's fists...
...and her co-stars.
At this point, we just really really want the trailer, TBH.
