Cosmo Online Hunk Guji Lorenzana: The Summer Hottie You've Been Waiting For

He made quite an impression on you at the Cosmo Bachelor Bash and Cosmo.ph Singles' Bash. Now, satisfy your craving for more of this hottie all month long.

You didn't think we'd send you off on your five-day break without giving you your dose of eye candy for the week, did you? It's the first Wednesday of the month--a holy one at that--and we're sure you'll thank the heavens that we got tall, tanned, and handsome TV star Guji Lorenzana to be our second of three summer online hunks!

While it's easy to get distracted by the moreno's striking looks and stunning smile, you'll actually be even more impressed when you learn that he has a multitude of feathers on that proverbial hat of his: actor, theater actor, host, commercial model, former radio DJ for Mellow 94.7, writer, and solo recording artist (although he does have a band, with whom he plays at popular bars around the metro).

But wait, there's more! We found out this hottie auditioned for American Idol (no kidding!), taught grade school students, and even wanted to become a priest at some point in his life! Just how interesting can this guy get?

Well, we're about to find out. See how he did in his first of four Cosmo interviews. Don't forget to check out his hot beach photos!

What were you doing before you got into showbiz?

Before entering showbiz, I was doing music. I auditioned for American Idol, and then I moved here to the Philippines to pursue music. So I guess that’s also showbiz. But before I entered the showbiz world, that’s what I was pursuing first. And, before I even moved here to the Philippines, I was a teacher at one point. I was teaching first grade.

Oh, how interesting! What did you take up in college?

I was taking Communications, and I also minored in Theater.

Have you always dreamed of becoming an actor?

No naman. My dream is to be a singer actually (laughs).

What music genre do you like?

Well, I’ve trained for all kinds of music. So I’m interested in a lot, but when I perform, I do a lot of pop-rock, alternative, but I also do pop songs, R&B songs when there are gigs. But I really like to perform alternative songs.

Do you look up to any famous singer?

Michael Jackson, my idol.

And which actor do you look up to?

I look up to a lot of people for acting. But, I think one guy I look up to in the international scene is Hugh Jackman because he does everything. And I did theater in the States for a while, too, and I think he has a good background and good basis of structure for his art.

What shows do you like?

I like watching Entourage, I also like watching Family Guy, and my other favorite show is Modern Family.

Do you have new projects we should look forward to?

Well, I’m currently in Lumayo Ka Man Sa Akin, the one with Maja [Salvador] and Enchong [Dee], that’s the one I’m currently shooting. There’re some projects I’m working on in Indonesia for music naman, which has been in the works for over a year now. It’s been a long time. And I might do some theater again this year, and there are some things coming up that I’m not so definite about yet.

If you were given a day off from your daily responsibilities, how would you spend it?

KTV (laughs) or just staying home watching TV. I like to cook and catch up on mini series that I haven’t seen.

What are people's typical first impression of you?

Um, Inglisero (laughs), medyo mayabang. But, I think that’s always the first impression sa mga [tao] who grew up in the States. But for the most part, I’m not like that, we’re not like that naman. It’s just that, uh, I understand, kasi minsan kapag galing kang States, you’re a bit more aggressive sometimes in the way you approach things.

Describe yourself in five words.

Hardworking, dedicated, spiritual, hopeless romantic--or is that two words? It can be one word (laughs), and I’d like to say family-oriented.

Tell us something people don’t know about you.

My first dream in life was to be a priest. Yeah, in fact when I was teaching, I taught in a religious school.

What made you change your mind?

I like girls (laughs).
