But did you know that before joining showbiz, his first job was selling *yummy* baked goods? During a 2019 episode of Magandang Buhay, Dominic talked about meeting Julia Barretto more than 10 years ago, saying that it happened because of his job!
Dominic Roque opens up about his first job
"Yung unang naging trabaho ko before was to sell cakes. So naglalako ako sa mga kakilala ko and all. So nung nakatira pa sila sa Capitol Hills before, si Tita Marj (Marjorie Barretto) yung nakausap ko," Dominic shared. "And then pagpunta ko doon, may mga dala akong cakes for tasting, free taste, ganito, ganyan. Nakita ko na siya maliit pa lang, tapos sila yung kumukuha ng cakes doon."
Dom added that when he entered showbiz, he reminded Julia about their first meeting, but she was too young to remember it. "Nung nakapasok ako ng showbiz, mga 2012, 2013, nakilala ko ulit siya. Pinaalala ko sa kanya, siyempre 'di niya na maalala 'yon. Pero, ayun, parang ang tagal na rin pala."
During the interview, Julia said Dominic was one of the kuyas she often went to for advice in her barkada. Dominic was also one of Julia's 18 roses during her debut celebration in 2014.
